Every Threadtree board is handcrafted from premium hardwood and finished with food-safe mineral oil and conditioning wax. Like all natural wood products, your board will continue to develop character over time. With just a little care, it will serve your table for years to come.
Before First Use
Your board has traveled to reach your home.
To allow the wood to adjust to its new environment, we recommend placing your board flat on a countertop or table for 5–7 days before its first use. This simple step allows the hardwood to acclimate to your home's temperature and humidity, helping it perform at its best for years to come.
Avoid storing the board upright or leaning against a wall during this initial acclimation period.
Universal Care

Hand wash with warm water and a mild dish soap, a damp cloth will suffice for loose crumbs and dry debris.

Dry immediately with a clean towel.

Allow the board to air dry completely before storing.

Store flat whenever possible, or upright only after the board is completely dry.
Avoid
To protect the natural beauty of your board, never:

Place it in the dishwasher.

Leave it soaking in water.

Microwave or place it in the oven.

Store it while damp.

Expose it to prolonged direct heat or sunlight.
Because wood is a natural material, changes in humidity and temperature may cause it to expand or contract slightly over time.
Nourish
Wood naturally loses moisture over time. To keep your board looking its best:

Apply ThreadTree Conditioning Wax or food-safe mineral oil whenever the surface begins to look dry.

Using a soft cloth, apply a thin, even coat following the direction of the grain.

Allow the finish to absorb overnight before buffing away any excess.
Regular conditioning helps protect the wood while enhancing its natural beauty.

Your Threadtree resin board is crafted using premium, food-safe resin with UV inhibitors to enhance long-term clarity and durability. Like all fine handcrafted wood and resin pieces, it should be protected from prolonged direct sunlight and excessive heat to preserve its beauty for years to come.
